The only exception to this policy will be in the science courses where hands-on experiments may be conducted using materials found around the home. Also some electives may require specialized equipment, but those items will be listed in the course syllabus for those specific courses.
The CHS online tuition model is simple: $129 per month and you can take up to two courses at one time. There are no hidden fees — just study at your own pace, in your own environment.
Tuition payments will be automatically deducted from your account each month based on the day you enroll. A student who enrolls on the 10th of the month will be automatically charged on the 10th of every month moving forward.
Yes. Our Student Services department will be happy to work with you and set your payment day to what works best for you. Please feel free to give Student Services a call at 800-736-4723.
We’ll accept up to 75% of credits that you’ve previously earned. This can reduce your overall costs for online high school classes.
Our online high school courses are designed to be completed in 16 weeks, with a focus on one lesson per week. By doubling or tripling the amount of lessons you complete each week, you can finish a course in as little as 28 days. As long as you’re focusing on one lesson per week, it is up to you to set the pace that works best for your schedule.
For best performance, you should access your courses with a computer that supports the most recent browser versions. It’s recommended to use a computer five years old or newer with at least 1GB of RAM.
You can also access your courses with the Canvas Student app. The Canvas Student app can be easily downloaded from your App Store. For parents, there is also the Canvas Parent App, which allows parents to track student progress, see their current grades, and communicate with the teacher.
Your CHS teachers are here to help! You can reach out to your teacher via email, telephone, or text message. On the home page of each course, each teacher provides their listed phone number, be prepared to leave a detailed voice message including your name, course, phone number, and a brief description of your specific question. Teachers will return your phone call or email within two business days. Typically, our response time is much faster, and our faculty are eager to support your success.
If you fail an exam, your teacher will provide the graded exam detailing areas for continued study and mastery. Your teacher will recommend a phone, email, or online meeting to discuss areas of concern and assist with mastery of the various topics necessary for success. CHS is committed to your success and you’ll be able to retake exams with continued teacher support at no extra cost.
