The scholarship covers most of the cost of tuition, and there is a separate application for this scholarship. Once registered for the Individual Course Merit Scholarship, students are automatically considered for the merit scholarship upon submitting their application.

No. Scholarships are a type of gift aid. However, this scholarship has a requirement of maintaining a 2.50 GPA and staying enrolled until course completion.
No. The CHS merit scholarship is applied automatically and only one scholarship can be applied per course.
The Merit scholarship of $359 will be automatically awarded to students enrolled in an individual course and currently pursuing a high school diploma at any accredited high school institution or a homeschooler and living in the United States.
The scholarship does not cover the entire $875 tuition cost at CHS. The student is required to pay the remaining cost of $129 per month until they complete the course.

The course begins with an introduction to the nature of science and biology, including the major themes of structure and function, matter and energy flow, systems, and the interconnectedness of life.
Students then apply those themes to the structure and function of the cell, cellular metabolism, and biogeochemical cycles. Building on this foundation, students explore the connections and interactions between living things by studying genetics, ecosystems and natural selection, and evolution. The course ends with an applied look at human biology.
