Merit Scholarship for Eligible Students Taking an Individual Course

CHS is proud to offer a merit scholarship to any student located in the USA taking an individual course with CHS

The scholarship covers most of the cost of tuition, and there is a separate application for this scholarship. Once registered for the Individual Course Merit Scholarship, students are automatically considered for the merit scholarship upon submitting their application.

Your application to Citizens High School is the basis for the eligibility for the merit scholarships

FAQs About the Individual Course Merit Scholarship

No. Scholarships are a type of gift aid. However, this scholarship has a requirement of maintaining a 2.50 GPA and staying enrolled until course completion.

No. The CHS merit scholarship is applied automatically and only one scholarship can be applied per course.

Individual Course Merit Scholarship Description

The Merit scholarship of $359 will be automatically awarded to students enrolled in an individual course and  currently pursuing a high school diploma at any accredited high school institution or a homeschooler and living in the United States.

The scholarship does not cover the entire $875 tuition cost at CHS.  The student is required to pay the remaining cost of $129 per month until they complete the course.

Coding 1A

In this course you will  discover how to create and build your own website using HTML and CSS and learn basic and complex commands and sequences as you become familiar with programming languages like JavaScript and Python Programming.

This course also covers data collection methods, access rights, protocols, and security. You will also discover how to create and build your own website using HTML and CSS and learn basic and complex commands and sequences

Biology + Lab

The course begins with an introduction to the nature of science and biology, including the major themes of structure and function, matter and energy flow, systems, and the interconnectedness of life.

Students then apply those themes to the structure and function of the cell, cellular metabolism, and biogeochemical cycles. Building on this foundation, students explore the connections and interactions between living things by studying genetics, ecosystems and natural selection, and evolution. The course ends with an applied look at human biology.

Directed Reading

Our Directed Reading  program is a flexible learning opportunities that allow students to pursue in-dept reading and study on a topic of choosing, working with faculty members to develop a customized course plan.

The course is designed to be a substitute for a traditional course and subject area that is not offered for which the student wishes to enroll.  The basic rigor of the course is read 3 books in 4 months and receive 1 credit
