How CHS Supports Military Families

Military families living in School Choice states like Arizona, Utah, and Florida may be eligible to attend CHS at no cost through education funding programs. We help guide families through the application process to ensure access to tuition-free enrollment when eligible.
CHS works with public, private, DoDEA, and homeschool transcripts to ensure students don’t lose progress during school transitions. We evaluate credits quickly and build personalized graduation plans so students can pick up right where they left off.
Our adult high school diploma track is ideal for military spouses who want to finish their education while balancing work, family, or relocation. The program is self-paced, accredited, and designed to fit the military lifestyle.
CHS offers diploma options that meet admission requirements for colleges and universities. Students can select courses that align with their long-term academic goals, including honors courses, electives, and college-prep programs.
For students interested in entering the workforce after graduation, CHS provides career-focused diploma tracks that include practical electives and skill-building courses to prepare for employment or certification programs.
Military spouses can complete their high school diploma through CHS while balancing family life and frequent relocations. Our flexible, self-paced format is designed for adult learners, and we offer unique electives that recognize the value of real-world parenting. Courses like Cooking & Nutrition allow spouses to earn academic credit while learning how to plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals for their families—turning everyday responsibilities into educational achievements.
CHS offers NCAA-approved core courses for student-athletes who plan to compete at the college level. Our online model allows athletes to train, travel, and compete while staying eligible and on track academically.
CHS supports military families who homeschool by offering a hybrid model that allows parents to teach some subjects at home while CHS provides accredited courses, certified teachers, and official transcripts to complete their child’s diploma.

Oh, The Places You'll Go

Poems on the Challenges of PCS Moves

Military Families know the bittersweet rhythm of packing up and starting over. These short poems offer a voice to transition-honoring the strength, struggle, and resilience found in every PCS move.

"Boxes Again"

We fold our lives in cardboard squares, tape up the joy, the tears, the prayers. New base, new start, same sky, same stars- Still feels like leaving home, by far.

"Little Goodbyes"

Each door we close, a friend we leave, A school, a street, a chance to grieve- We smile and wave, hearts held tight – Packing day steals sleep alright.

"Duty's Call"

We go where orders say we must, Build homes on bases built on trust. But roots don’t grow where time is thin- We start again, we start again.

"The Kid's Room"

New posters hide the holes and cracks, Old dreams unpacked from plastic sacks. He asks if this one’s home for long – I say, “Just long enough to be strong.”
