Current, Relevant Curriculum

At CHS, we utilize Open Education Resources (OER) for our curriculum. The reason for this is two-fold. First, our students are getting up to date curriculum produced by the most knowledgeable subject matter experts. Secondly, we are able to reduce the cost to students by not using publisher material.

Academic Advising

At CHS we provide the highest level of academic support. So don't worry about getting stuck on that math problem, CHS is here to help.

GRADUATE SUCCESS STORIES
Open Quote
Right after graduating from citizens high school, I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. I graduated basic military training as an honor graduate, prior to attending Intelligence technical school. I graduated from my intelligence class with academic honors, and was selected for a special assignment to become a “drone” camera operator. I deployed to Iraq in 2009 and provided base defense coverage for Balad Air Base. In 2010, I moved to Holloman AFB where I was quickly upgraded to become an instructor. In 2011, I graduated with two Associate of Applied Science degrees from the Community College of the Air Force—one in Intelligence Studies, and the other in Air and Space Operations. In 2012, I was promoted to Staff Sergeant and I graduated from the American Military University with a Bachelor of Arts in Management. I was selected to attend Air Force Officer Training School and then pilot training. I graduated Air Force pilot training in 2014, and I currently fly the UH-1N “Huey” helicopter out of Wyoming. I am an active duty Air Force Captain, and I just recently graduated from the University of the Incarnate Word with a Master of Science in Organizational Development and Leadership (Class of 2017). I have aspirations to attend law school with a focus in business law.
